History

Minding Manners launched in the heart of Paris, France on the Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré in 2003. We were the first institution to bring back the tradition of the European Finishing School, only this time, in an accessible, contemporary and modular format. Our relocation to London is due to the ever-increasing demand of discerning individuals, corporations and parents seeking more than domestic etiquette knowledge; they demand the ultimate in international etiquette and protocol knowledge delivered by internationally renowned professionals who have lived and worked in, and with, numerous cultures.

The Minding Manners training studio is located in London at the heart of Albertropolis (the exclusive Kensington region that was home to Queen Victoria and Prince Consort Albert, as well as Diana, Princess of Wales). Every step taken is graced with Victorian history, from Kensington Palace and Royal Albert Hall to the Albert Memorial, Hyde Park and the Victoria and Albert Museum. This privilege allows our clients the exclusive pleasure of experiencing etiquette in its birth place with tutorial insights and hands-on practical experiences second to none.

Our trainers are all experts in their respective fields, bringing you not only an exceptional level of savoir-faire based on academic training but also a wealth of real-life experience.

Each session is interactive and supported by written and illustrated workbooks. Participants in the full programme receive a Certificate upon completion.

Areas of specialisation

Certified, accomplished and knowledgeable in all facets of international etiquette and protocol, we work with numerous clients individually to develop unique programmes customised to enhance presence and distinguish individuals and corporations from the status quo.

Programmes include International Social Etiquette, International Business Etiquette, Diplomatic Protocol and Youth Etiquette. Private sessions are offered in each area as well as their more specific components, including but not limited to, presentation skills, elocution, cross-cultural awareness, personal and professional image, networking, telephone skills, email etiquette, deportment and much more. Our art de vivre sessions cover all of life’s enjoyments, including floral arranging and art history to understanding fine wines, cheeses and cigars as well as tuition in lifestyle sports such as horse riding, tennis and ballroom dancing.

Our diplomatic protocol inductions are perfect for those starting a career in diplomacy. One-to-one bespoke sessions offer a more elaborate programme for those at the senior level. This course takes places in London, but may also include segments in Paris and Brussels to incorporate tutorials at Versailles, NATO and the European Commission.

Courses may be delivered at our London training studio or at your location, around the world.
