The miner is a worker who deals with extracting raw materials or minerals from the ground, within mining excavations, in a place where the extraction of rocks and minerals or solid fuels coal, lignite of economic interest, thanks to processes carried out mainly in underground or submarine environments. The term also indicates the industrial complex connected to the mining activity which is part of the mining industry. The variety of the materials extracted, together with the topographical characteristics makes each mining complex profoundly different. However, it is possible to identify common characteristics in the context of traditional mines: the processing flow can be briefly described as the abatement of the useful material, followed by its transport outside, which will involve a evolution of the mine. Another common area is the underground processing environment.
