Description
I am an interior designer, mixed media artist and tutor. I started Moji Designs in 2008, with the aim of setting up craft and business startup workshops to encourage people to explore their creative ideas and turn that into a successful craft business. With a background in interior design and textile printing, that same year I launched my interior design business Moji Interiors followed by my silk screen printed collection. Strong and vibrant colours combined with evocative patterns are the main design elements in this small limited edition range of home and fashion accessories. This range is heavily inspired by nature and my childhood spend in Persia, where nature and the ever changing seasons influenced me to create delicate and timeless designs.
In 2013 I launched my contemporary jewellery brand “Mojiana“, finally fulfilling a long-held dream. The collections are inspired by the “Circle of Life” and the element of a circle in design, that with its continuity, has been the foundation of my outlook and work.
My craft workshops will provide students with a craft skill as a foundation. The business startup workshops will provide them with invaluable advice and information, so that they can pursue their dream of starting and running a successful craft business. The consultation offers an objective perspective, which is often the best way of looking at those problematic business situations that one might not usually recognise as a business owner. My aim is to be a catalyst for them and their business. I will listen to their ideas, plans and details of their business structure and give practical advice and share my thoughts with them. I will provide clarity on the aspects of their work that they may have overlooked or are struggling with. The above is made all the more possible with a positive mindset and a sense of well being. Throughout each workshop and consultation session, I will inspire them to achieve that too. Both the craft and the business workshops including the consultation, are based on my own hands-on experience and academic and self-taught learning in these fields.
