Optometrists examine patient’s eyes, test their sight, give advice on visual problems and prescribe and fit spectacles or contact lenses.
This distinctive 4-year Optometry degree programme at this center integrates theory, research, science and clinical practice from year one. Across all 4 years students will focus on achieving parallel success: as a professional clinician and as a scientist.
One of the ways this course is so unique is that it is the first Optometry degree with incorporation and direct involvement from the College of Optometrists. This allows us to integrate the pre-registration year within this 4 year masters programme.
