Course programme

Year 1

The programme consists of five core modules covering all the key areas of MOT testing and will consist of:
– Safe working practices
– Working relationships in the test centre
– Managing your own professional development
– Carrying out pre-test checks
– Carrying out the full MOT test.


A full and current driving license. Four years’ experience in servicing and maintaining vehicles in class 4 and 7. No unspent convictions for certain offences. To be good repute as per DVSA guidelines An accepted Automotive Level 3 qualification or ATA accreditation.

Additional information

You will be assessed through online exams and a practical demonstration of a full MOT test.
