2. Course description This course will develop your skills through a competence based practical training programme, supported by theory sessions. Competence based practical training programme supported by theory sessions. The course is broken down into 3 mandatory units and 5 optional units in which practical assessments and on-line multi-choice theory questions are required in order to achieve this qualification. The course is exam based and there is continual assessment for the workshop tasks. You will also complete a portfolio of evidence. The course is divided between practical sessions in the motor vehicle workshop and underpinning knowledge. You will also be expected to undertake skills that would help you in the workplace such as communication, maths and the use of computers. This course is ideal for a student who wants to make a career in the motor vehicle industry.
