Course programme

Students will learn about the construction and operation of all vehicle systems. The course is divided between the classroom and workshop and students will study the following vehicle systems: Engine systems Transmission Steering Suspension Braking systems Vehicle electrical systems. The final unit covers vehicle maintenance. The skills and knowledge gained from this course will enable students to continue on to an apprenticeship should they be able to gain employment in the motor vehicle trade. The course runs at Keighley College and Printworks Campus. GCSE grade D in English, Maths and Science. On completion of this course many students gain employment and move onto a Level 3 apprenticeship.
