Leading on from a relevant foundation degree, this course will give you the skills you need for a career at the forefront of design function in the sector. Your employment opportunities will span the motorsport and automotive industries as well as second and third tier suppliers.
You'll learn about the complex world of motorsport through core modules. And you'll bring your skills to life with hands-on experience of race cars as well as computer simulations.
You'll develop these skills further to make virtual environments within which your designs and simulations can run. At level 6 you'll complete a major individual project within the motorsport field.
You'll learn the skills you need to apply the right technology within the motorsport sector, so your employment prospects will be impressive.
Some of our graduates have gone on to work with companies competing in BTCC, World Rally and F1. And others have chosen to study for a taught postgraduate MSc degree or progressed to postgraduate research for an MPhil or PhD degree.

This will contribute to your development as a professional technologist and be the first step in your achieving Incorporated Engineer status. The award is designed to produce graduates who have a technical understanding of Motorsport and the ability to work within this field of technology. Students will obtain 50% of their education within the workplace.
