Course Content
Moving and Handling & General Risk Assessment. Theoretical component and practice element to increase knowledge of current legislation, anatomy of spine and causes of back pain. Introduction to ergonomics and risk assessment - leads on to a practical session giving each candidate the opportunity to perform safe Manual Handling techniques and receive advice on the appropriate use of a variety of Manual Handling Aids including demonstration and practice using a wide selection of Mobility Aids.
This course also includes demonstration and practice in the safe and appropriate use of Stand Aids & Hoists. Complying with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, and all relevant Health & Safety Legislation.
