The School of Maths and Computer Science has first rate facilities with labs dedicated to the areas you will be studying. These labs are equipped with up-to-date and some of the latest specialist equipment, and you will be also taught by the specialist staff in those subject areas. As the areas you will be studying are the latest growth areas in the world of Computer Science, and the topics cutting edge and fast moving, the practical and theoretical material you will be presented with, will evolve and change as the subject areas move forward.
Not only will you have the technical skills learnt from the subject matter delivered, but you will also be encouraged to independently synthesize information and novel ideas in specific areas of Computer Science, and to evaluate or argue alternative approaches. These soft skills are essential to success and will set you on the path of Chartered Engineer. The course has been designed to promote a professional attitude in students looking for a career in Computer Science, and thus enhance the employment prospects of the students.

A lower second honours degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
A Postgraduate Certificate in Computer Science or a related subject with a minimum of grade C in all modules.
