MSc Computer Science (Software Engineering)

A large proportion of software developed today is distributed in nature, where parts of an application system are partitioned across multiple computers each interacting to solve some problem in a distributed fashion. This MSc Computer Science course aims to provide an intensive programme of study in Software Engineering that covers the principles of distributed systems and their implementation and use on the Internet.

This MSc Computer Science is suitable for students wishing to increase their Software Engineering experience in preparation for a career in the software industry, and is a qualifying Masters Degree for Chartered Engineer status. It can also be an appropriate degree for those wishing to pursue a research career, and the individual MSc project can be done with one of our research groups.
