Introducing your degree
Midwives work with women and their families from early pregnancy until after the birth, across all social groups, in a wide range of settings, being the lead professional for women who are well, and with the interprofessional team for women experiencing complications. We provide a values-based curriculum, giving you a comprehensive understanding of pregnancy and childbirth, and the skills of critical enquiry to support your career development. Practical experience is at the heart of our Midwifery course, with at least 50 per cent of the programme being in practice.
