We offer an adaptable approach to learning and assessment and a range of specialisms, including environment, urban design and development, housing, historic environment , transport and infrastructure, economic development, and health.
The course focuses on developing theoretical into practice skills, reflected in our teaching and learning approaches. You base your studies and assessment on a series of global, national and local real life issues and case studies.
Our aim is to develop you as a critical and reflective thinking professional. A planning qualification can open up opportunities in: strategic planning and policy development; regeneration; development implementation and management; environmental protection; infrastructure planning; transport and accessibility planning; housing planning, development and delivery; economic development; health; health planning; heritage and historic environment; waste, energy and minerals planning. Planners are also employed across a range of public and private sector bodies in wider roles in wider policy development and in campaign bodies and pressure groups.
