If you are a keen musician this offers you an excellent opportunity to develop your musical abilities and knowledge in a wide variety of ways. It is a creative subject which provides opportunities to work in your own preferred styles, whilst retaining a focus on traditional western classical music.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry requirements. You will be expected to play a musical instrument to a good standard: Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music grade 4 to 6.
Career opportunities:
Many careers relating to music involve additional training. These include: performing, media, teaching, musical technician, music business management, composing, music therapy.
