About the course
Are you looking to begin a career in the performing and producion arts industry? If so, this new course could be perfect for you! Aimed at young people who are passionate about performance and looking to begin their training, this Level 1 Diploma will be taught in a highly specialist environment at our new state-of-the-art STEM building.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills as both an individual and a member of a performance ensemble. You will be involved right from the start in an in-depth experience of performing and production arts. The course covers a broad range of subjects, and you’ll develop your skills in performance-making across a wide range of disciplines, including acting, movement, musical theatre and production.
The units that you’ll study on the course will lead to opportunities to perform, sometimes at large-scale public performances. You’ll also develop your skills in maths and English, leading to a GCSE or Functional Skills qualification.
