About this course

280 UCAS points. 280 points is equivalent to grades of B, B, C at A2 Level or DMM for the BTEC National Diploma. Applicants will be required to achieve a B grade in Music/Music Technology if taking A2 Levels. BTEC awards must be in a relevant subject. Applicants will also need a minimum of 3 GCSE’s at grade C or above including English Language.

Applicants are also required to have ABRSM Grade V theory or equivalent. Please note these do not count toward the 280 tariff points.

BA (Hons) Music Production

Full-Time Degree

The emphasis of this course is on the use of advanced music technology skills for the creation and production of music and sound for a range of contemporary applications, including studio production and composing and producing music for film, television, and new media.

Assessment

Modules are assessed through a portfolio of compositions or recordings supported by critical writing and/or a production log.

All international students must have a British Council English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0.
