2. Course description If you're looking to develop a combination of both practical and technical skills in the music recording process, and get a broader understanding of the music technology industry, then this Level 2 Certificate is perfect for you. You'll be setting up and operating audio and MIDI, developing your knowledge of the software and equipment used in music technology, and learning all the ins and outs of the process. Much of the focus will be on multi-track recording and sequencing. Throughout the course, you'll be creating a variety of music using both audio and MIDI. You'll also learn how performance interacts with music technology and develop your skills in these areas to help you on the path to a successful career in this sector.

Entry requirements You don't need to have any formal qualifications to enrol on this Level 2 Certificate in Music Technology, but we will invite you to come and meet us for an interview, to make sure you are suitable for the course. If you have successfully completed the Level 1 Introduction to Music Technology, that will be beneficial - but it's not essential. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Assessments will focus on an evidence portfolio that you'll build up throughout the course. This will include some worksheets but will be mostly placed around practical studio projects and recordings.
