What Instruments Do We Teach?

We teach a wide range of instruments with guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, drums and saxophone at its core. Our music studio also provides a range of other instrumental tuition and services.

Examinations

One of the most frequently asked questions is whether we cater for standard grade or higher grade music. In fact we make provision for the performance side on both of the above. Other major examination boards are also provided for within our teaching studios.

The Music Studio is run and managed by the musical course director George Norval. He has a wealth of teaching experience behind him. The rest of the staff are also accomplished musicians and teachers, some of whom have been working with us for many years.

Location

The studio itself is situated within and above our main store and provides an environment for both our group and individual tuition. We continually upgrade our facilities as new technologies and teaching methods advance.

The Studio Provides Full Instrumental tuition for 100's of Students every week. Tuition is either one to one or in groups, an option proving ever more popular as it provides a cheaper alterative in these difficult financial times.

The live room and live performances

-The live room
At The Studio, we give our students of all ages the opportunity to play together in a band or ensemble situation where they can learn to play various styles of music, such as pop/rock, blues, funk, etc.

-Live performances
Students are encouraged to participate in our "Live nights". The performances are split into two categories:
•14s and under
•14s and above (adults)
The performances are usually held at the Lemon Tree, once or twice a year. Each set of performances is held over several nights. This is open to family, friends and the general public.

We also hold performances at the weekend in house, once every 4-6 weeks, usually during lunch time-early afternoon hours. Again, these events are open to family, friends and the general public.
