Mylash lift is designed to create the illusion of longer thicker lashes without the need for extensions. The lashes are straightened rather than curled which lifts the natural lashes, by incorporating a tint the lashes will appear darker creating overall definition to the eye. This course is designed to ensure you maintain safe and effective methods of working when enhancing the appearance of eyelashes.
Course modules include:
• Health, safety and hygiene
• Preparation of client and work area
• Client consultation and patch testing
• Contra-indications and contra-actions
• Identifying correct sized silicone shields
• Lash lift procedure
• Structure of the hair
• Aftercare advice

Course programme
Procedure is demonstrated by the tutor, learners will then practice the procedure demonstrated on their model. Learners will be assessed on their practical techniques and by written assessment
Students will be able to offer a Mylash lift treatment to their clients. Students may wish to apply for any full or part time beauty course at Gower College Swansea.
Students will need to be qualified in lash tinting, are required to work on each other and should attend wearing a minimal amount of eye makeup.
