ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
A current Manicure and Health and Safety qualification
Enthusiasm and a personal pride in ones work.
An interview with specialist staff.
Students should have the ability to study at home, work individually, as part of a team and have good communication skills.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
As a society we are becoming more aware of the need to take better care of ourselves. As a result there is an increasing demand for professional Nail Technicians who can provide a full range of treatments.
The course is designed for dedicated students who wish to obtain nationally recognised qualification awarded by the Vocational Training Charitable Trust.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
A high standard of learning will be achieved with regard to:
Health and Safety Procedures
Anatomy of the hands
Client analysis
Client consultation
After care advice
Application of nail art products including:-
* Rhinestones/Flatstones
* Freehand painting
* Nail jewellery
* Special effects
* Transfers
* Opalescent painting
* Foils
* Striping/tape
* Marbling
HOW WILL I LEARN?
This ten week course is designed so that students can work through task based learning, research and the building of a portfolio.
There will be individual assessments (models will be required), oral questions, case studies and written papers.
This course will require home study alongside practical practice of the module techniques
WHAT CAN THIS COURSE LEAD TO?
This course will give you a fully recognised VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Art.
