Introduction:
This course is a 1 day introduction course to nail art, you will learn the basic techniques needed to be able to complete nail art on yourself, friends and family. There will also be time to learn techniques specific for special occasions including weddings and parties.

Study Mode & Location:
This 1 day course will be held in the Beauty Therapy department within Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
The course will include learning the following techniques:

• Basic Nail Painting
• Glitter dust
• Application of rhinestones
• Foil wraps
• Nail paint techniques including: - striping and dotting

Assessment:
You will be assessed practically either working on each other or individual false nails. A college certificate will be awarded on completion of all techniques.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
This course will give you the opportunity to proceed to the VTCT diploma in manicure and then to the VTCT diploma in nail art.

You may need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser before enrolling on this course.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
