Overview:

This course is designed to provide the necessary platform for budding nail technicians. There is a balance between the theory and practical application skills with plenty of time for you to practice in-between training days. This ensures that you learn and progress substantially each day you spend with your trainer.

Day One

• Tip Application
• Application of Performance Acrylic, GF21 Gel and Fibreglass and Silk
• Features, benefits and differences between the systems

Practical

• Nail Preparation
• Tip Application
• Application of all four systems
• Choose a system to specialise in for the rest of the course

Day Two
Theory & Demonstrations

• Health, Safety & Hygiene
• Anatomy & physiology
• Treatable and untreatable nail conditions
• Client consultation
• Product Chemistry
• Correct use of tools
• Decontamination/storage of products and tools

Practical

• Nail Preparation
• Tip Application
• Blending
• Product Application
• Filing & Buffing

Day Three
Theory & Demonstrations

• Maintenance & trouble shooting
• Infill & Rebalancing
• Removal of product

Practical

• Hygiene
• Removal
• Nail preparation for maintenance
• Product Application for infill and rebalance
• Filing & Buffing

Assessment

• Written Assessment

Practical

• Practical tip & overlay assessment

• Star Nails Technology Handbook for chosen system

What else will I need?

• To purchase your chosen system Complete Kit on the day
• Ensure your hair is kept off your face and tied back where necessary
• Remove Jewellery
• Nail Extensions should be removed and nails should be short and unpolished

Duration: 10am - 4pm
Structured as a Play morning and 2 1/2 x training days, typically over the course of 3-4 weeks
