Nail Services CG NVQ Diploma Level 2

Do you consider yourself artistic or to have creative flair? With nail boutiques becoming commonplace on the high street, this course will equip you with the essential skills to start employment in this fast growing industry. This is suitable for students new to the beauty industry wanting to become a nail technician in a nail bar or beauty salon.

As this is an introductory course, applicants are not required to have any previous qualifications. At Cornwall College, we will always look for enthusiasm and motivation to succeed on the course.

You will be learning in our industry standard training salons, learning skills and techniques from a professional nail technician. From manicure and pedicure to nail art and extensions, you will learn everything you need to know to start practicing as a technician. You will complete a total of 8 units and assessments will be carried out during practical lessons.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your work based skills; working on the salon reception and treating clients in our fully equipped salon or if you study at Camborne, in our new Nail Bar.
Regular tutorials and demonstrations from teaching staff will embed your knowledge, giving you the confidence to practice in paid employment.
After successfully completing the course, you will be a qualified nail technician at level 2.

A Nail Services Diploma at level 2will give you the practical skills and knowledge to get your first job in the Nail Services industry. You could continue your studies with Cornwall College by upgrading to a level 3 where you will learn how to apply nail enhancements such as Minx nails. Alternatively, you may like to add to your new qualification with a one of our other beauty qualifications such as Beauty Therapy, Massage or Spa Therapy.
