Course Aims:
This foundation course provides an introduction to art & design theory and practice with an emphasis on drawing. Progression Opportunities:
Successful candidates may progress to NC Art & Design Portfolio Advanced. This allows progression to a variety of art & design related courses at HNC/D level, such as Art & Illustration, Visual Communication (Graphic Design), 3D Design (Interior Design) or Computer Animation.

Career Potential:
This is an excellent course for students who wish to commence a programme of education and training for employment in the field of art & design or for those wishing to develop skills in this area.

Course Assessment:
Continuous assessment through mainly project-based assignments. Individual and/or group assessments in written, visual or oral form as required by the unit of study.
