Course Aims:
This course helps you develop the knowledge, skills and understanding to work in a care environment. Students on this course will have the opportunity to take the Higher Care exam and the Higher Mental Health exam. The course may also be used as preparation for entry to the HNC Social Care programme.

Communication. Values & Principles in Care. Sociology for Care. Psychology for Care. Understanding Mental Health. Stress Management. Caring for People With Dementia.

Successful candidates may progress to the HNC Social Care or other relevant HNC programmes.

Course Assessment:
This course is assessed through continuous assessment and a final examination.
