Applicants should have three Standard Grades at level 2 or above. All applicants will attend an information/interview session.

Students can progress to HNC or HND Social Sciences, for which entry, is dependent on successful completion of the NC Higher course and a, successful pre-entry interview.

Students with qualifications in social sciences subjects can progress, onto a range of careers including: teaching, lecturing, social work,, administration, the media, research, local government, human, resource management, careers advice and librarianship.
Course Assessment:
The course is assessed by a range of unit assessments including, closed-book examinations, projects, reports and essays.
