      NC Interior Decoration

      Course Aims:
      This course is designed to teach you the practical techniques involved in interior decoration and will appeal to anyone who would like to work in the painting and decorating field. The course provides additional skills and techniques in basic interior design, soft furnishings, woodworking and related theory and core skills units. This may be an appropriate course for those interested in property development.

      Course Content:
      Producing Colour Schemes. Coating Timber Surfaces. Coating Plaster Surfaces. Coating Wooden Surfaces. Hanging Wall Paper Plain/Patterned. Scaffolding. Construction Drawing. Construction Studies. Measurement & Costing. Construction Materials.

      Progression Opportunities:
      Higher Construction or Building & Architectural Technology and/or HNC Construction Management.

      Career Potential:
      This course is an important starting point for those interested in pursuing a career in the area of painting & decoration. Content is closely aligned to employers' needs and requirements.
