Applicants should have three Standard Grades at level 3 or above. All applicants will attend an information/interview session.

Course Aims:
Students are introduced to a wide range of social science subjects including history, psychology, politics and sociology and will develop their analytical, writing and research skills with a view to entry to the NC Higher Social Sciences course, other studies or employment.
Course Content:
Students with qualifications in social sciences subjects can progress, onto a range of careers including: teaching, lecturing, social work,, administration, the media, research, local government, human, resource management, careers advice and librarianship.
Progression Opportunities:
Students can progress to NC Higher Social Sciences. Entry to the NC, Higher is dependent on successful completion of NC Intermediate 2, and a successful pre-entry interview.
