A Standard Grade pass at Level 3 or above, a relevant Introductory Award/SVQ II or appropriate industry experience. Applicants are expected to have some communication and number skills. A friendly outgoing personality is also necessary for work in this industry.

Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion allows you to gain direct entry to the HNC Travel course. Students may then progress to the HND Travel with Tourism and possibly progress to the third year of a degree programme at either the University of the West of Scotland or Glasgow Caledonian University.
Career Potential:
Students who choose to go into industry may be employed within travel agencies, seek positions overseas as holiday reps or airline cabin crew or be employed within the inbound UK tourism industry.
Course Assessment:
The course is designed to be assessed on an ongoing basis throughout the year. This may involve short answer questions, completion of a project, role play, presentations, or computer-based assessments.
