NCFE Foundation Certificate In Creative Craft (Plastering) Level 1

It is expected that applicants will have a genuine interest in Construction.

This course will allow you to gain a foundation qualification in Plastering. You will learn how to :
-Handle and store tools, materials and resources
-Develop a competent level of technical skill
-Follow health and safety procedures
-Fixing plasterboard and corner beads
-Applying jointing tape and fixing holes
-Applying backing coat plaster and two coat finish plaster

You will need to purchase suitable protective boots with steel toe caps and soles and overalls. Students cannot enter the workshop without these items.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.

The award is assessed in college workshops and classrooms and learners will be required to prepare and submit a portfolio of work .

After successful completion of your course you will be able to continue your studies on to Intermediate Plastering level 2.
