Entry Requirements:
We would require a pre-course interview to discuss the course and to establish that this level is suitable for the candidate.
No previous health and safety knowledge is required, but candidates should note that the assessment includes a requirement to write a short report and sit written examinations.

Unit 1 NGC1 Management of Health and Safety
- Element 1 - Foundations in health and safety
- Element 2 - Health and safety management systems - Plan
- Element 3 - Health and safety management systems - Do
- Element 4 - Health and safety management systems - Check
- Element 5 - Health and safety management systems - Act
Unit 2 GC2 Controlling Workplace Hazards
- Element 1 - Workplace hazards and risk control
- Element 2 - Transport hazards and risk control
- Element 3 - Musculoskeletal hazards and risk control
- Element 4 - Work equipment hazards and risk control
- Element 5 - Electrical safety
- Element 6 - Fire safety
- Element 7 - Chemical and biological health hazards and risk control
- Element 8 - Physical and psychological health hazards and risk control
Unit 3 GC3 Practical Application and Report
- Workplace practical application and report [to be handed in within two weeks of GC2 exam]
External examination
- Two hour written external exam for both units NGC1 and GC2
We understand the importance of flexibility in our approach to training and so deliver NEBOSH courses in a number of ways:
- Block release – intensive course where candidates attend one week taught study with a week break for self study prior to another week taught study plus additional days for revision
- Day release – one day per week taught study, for the duration of the course plus additional revision days.
The NEBOSH certificate qualifications are delivered in modular units where applicable.
A unit certificate is issued by NEBOSH denoting successful achievement of each unit. An overall Certificate award parchment is issued by NEBOSH on completion of all course units
