The mostly widely held health and safety qualification in the UK, the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is an excellent first step for those assuming H&S responsibilities. The course comprises three modules – or “Units” :
NGC1 – Management of Health & Safety
GC2 – Controlling Workplace Hazards
GC3 – Health & Safety Practical Application The course is ideal for people who need a comprehensive knowledge of health and safety and is suitable for managers, supervisors and staff with some level of responsibility. Those who pass gain a qualification which is comparable with an NQF Level 3 or SCQF Level 6.
