This one day course aims to provide an introductory understanding on the usage of the NEC Contract. The seminar will give an overview to the NEC Contract including background, underlying principles and concepts. This seminar is highly recommended for clients, consultants and contractors who have not used the NEC Contract before now.

On completion of the course delegates should be able to:

· Recognise NEC procurement options and associated risks

· Select appropriate NEC Contracts

· Understand the structure of NEC

· Understand roles and responsibilities in NEC

· Understand key clauses and principles such as payment mechanisms, contract data, early warning, risk reduction meetings, compensation events, insurance and indemnity etc.
