The Human Race is on a course that is likely to lead to extinction, through trying to ‘cure’ violence with more violence. There is hope that we can counter the prejudice and bigotry, by promoting learning through dialogue, so that “Never Again” can become a reality. We will study genocide from the standpoint that violence between people cannot be totally eradicated, but we can take measures to understand and contain it
. • From Cain and Abel to Genocide and Jihad • The Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust • The Problem of Aggression and Torture • Trauma and its Sequellae • Blindness and Denial • Reconciliation, Forgiveness and Redemption
