'THE NEXT STEP' [many return after attending our crash course] 3 day in-depth 'fused glass' course 10am - 4.00pm *£245 inc all materials, refreshments & lunch

Day 1/ Using the basic skills you have already accomplished on the 3 day crash course Deborah will help you to design, map out and create your very own 30 x 60cm embossed kiln carved glass panel. Working on a larger layered project can open up several design possibilities as well as being able to incorporate several disciplines all at once. Throughout your day we will introduce you to new methods, tools, stencils, liquid stringers, metals, glass grinding, paints, sparkling miccas & how to incorporate organic elements. Dont worry, you will be helped through all the steps!

Day 2/ You will create a 30 x 30cms panel, bridge or vessel [we have several molds to choose from] We will concentrate on achieving a layered design working in between the layers with paints, frits & confetti as well as manipulating glass noodles to add detail to your work. We will also show you how to work with precious metals inc: platinum, silver & gold accents! This will be a great 'sampler' to keep and refer back to showing lots of reactions we can achieve in glass inc textures and colours. You will also cover a taster session in Sandblasting creating a mirror which you can take home on the day. This course will help you look at new dimensions & depths in fused glass bringing your work up to a higher standard

Day 3/ Acid etching, gilding with 23ct Gold & fine Silver leaf and how to add fine detailing and shadow with glass engraving. You will work on a 10 x 30cm panel - Projects ready to take home on the day. This day gives you enough knowledge to continue to work with glass without the need of a kiln, this is called cold working.
