Course programme
The course consists of two modules: Development in the International Context and Project and Programme Design.
You will learn about development management in the international context and the impact of globalisation.
Our Project and Programme Design module will give you insight into a range of approaches to development interventions, including design, implementation and management.
This introduces design methods used by NGOs and aid agencies as well as important issues sustainability and alternatives to the project approach.

How you'll be assessed
You’ll be assessed through marked essays and written reports, presentation and research proposals. Whilst much of your work will be individual, enabling you to set your own schedule, you will also be expected to participate in team work via group discussions or webinars, and to work together with other distance learning students as a group on a project.
