About this course
The aim of the module is to develop confident and competent independent and supplementary nurse, midwife, pharmacist and allied health professional prescribers in order that they may undertake a comprehensive history/assessment of the patient for effective clinical decision making in evidence based prescribing practice.

Level 6 Entry Requirements
Nurses/Midwives: The applicant must be a registered nurse, midwife and/or specialist community public health nurse with at least three years post qualifying experience. The applicant must provide evidence via the Accreditation of Prior and Experiential Learning (APEL) process of their ability to study at degree level. 60 credits at Level 5 are normally required to access the degree level programme.
Allied Health Professionals: must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) in a relevant allied health profession. The applicant must provide evidence via the Accreditation of Prior and Experiential Learning (APEL) process of their ability to study at degree level. 60 credits at level 5 are normally required to access the degree level programme.
Level 7 Entry RequirementsPharmacists: must have at least two years’ UK experience following pre-registration year. The applicant must be educated to degree level in the relevant field
