What I would highlight:
If anyone is planning to rent a car then I must suggest you to book online in Austria, there are plenty of cheap airlines as well flying from America only. Important point is to book your tickets well in 4 months advance.

The NCSU accommodations are least flexible and unefficient organisation I have ever seen. I am very unhappy with the housing facilities.

About health insurance and accommodations, you will have to spend more than you are told. That's a bitter truth. One more thing that the insurance company deals only with cash and traveler's check.

I had my stay at Alexander Hall, and the environment there was very diverse because Americans and international students live together there. Boring has no sense there, all are very friendly.
