Though many universities claim to be diverse but reality is bit different from what they claim. Northwestern University has majority of white students.

Campus shuttle was a great help, cannot complain about it. You can rely upon it as it comes frequent and you can even go till Chicago in that.

Both on and off campus parking permit is expensive and for not paying you need to move your car every two hours.

The on campus network is really bad the server goes down for no reason and sometimes make you fix it through the IT is good they provide a number to call and also there's a convenient location to go.

What I would highlight:
Evanston town is very rich in ethnic diversity. There are myrid options for you to choose from. I would like to warn all in advance that many places do not accept the students discount and can be way to expensive to afford.

What I would highlight:
I am greek and I don't think that being greek has got to do anything to with more social opportunities. All the parties are open to everyone. There are clubs and intramural tightly knit and many more cultural groups as well.

What I would highlight:
There are lot of options of dorms to choose from. One can choose from Allisons, Bobbs, Res colleges, elder and many more. The rooms are fine and not very spacious. On an personal note I would recommend Elders or Res college for freshers. I had my experience in Bobb and I felt it just fine with no collge support but still some do love Bobbs. Well it all depends on the interaction with people ar what type of community you are looking for.

frat parties are fun because of taking advantage of the proximity to Chicago. to experience the Chicago bars fullest you need a fake and a good one.

What I would highlight:
Northwestern serves a diverse culture to experience. There is an extreme dearth of African and American students. I being from Memphis that has half African and American students, I was quite shocked seeing such difference in ratio at Northwestern. I felt that Northwestern University has diversity regarding political beliefs. Northwestern seems quite liberal in terms of politics and current events.

What I would highlight:
I felt the sense of racism. A mix of majority of whites to few other shades leads to such racism. This thing makes the Northwestern aura a depressing one for non whites. Though there are some students who raise their voice against this racism.

What I would highlight:
People spend all their money in drugs and there's nothing to do by the dorm advisors until you are caught directly, fraternities are also filled with drinking people and you can also drink is closed room but still, it's better than found at most colleges.

I am currently preparing to get the musical theatre program, the classes are challenging but not impossible except one wash-out professor so try to get in touch with the professors to know about your questions of industry.

What I would highlight:
Gorgeous summer weather but unfortunately everyone goes home in summer breaks and winter is brutal, its very windy city of Chicago and campus is right beside the lake Michigan that makes the temperature very low and snowy of which you have to deal with as classes don't get cancelled.

Most of the security issue takes place around the streets not, particularly on our campus. I feel pretty safe walking at night but emails I get tells me not too.
