What I would highlight:
The aura of the place is majorly dependend upon the weather. Falls and springs becomes short if the last winters went bad. We had a heavy snowfall this winter making it difficult to to walk to the class.

Having a laptop is a real necessisty here for it can be tough find a system in computer labs for they always houseful.

Evanston provides lots of off campus housing options. for cheaper rents, you need to live far from campus or share the room with someone near campus for reasonable payment.

Classes run the gamut but professors are great and oblivious about your other homework though the workload is doable and arbitrary grading scale.

What I would highlight:
You can't call Evanston a shining example of a safe town being self righteous as people inhabited full time residents. There's often robberies happen and walking alone is unwise. the off campus is really far and entering through dim alleys is not that helpful but its well known by the people moving next to Chicago. The health service is really good here.

Campus is very much dominated by the greek life style. There are numerous number of frats, sororities and many more activities and communities to be a part of. Many freshers rush for the same. Sometimes it feels like greeks are being the fund raisers.
