Overview of the course:
Once completed you will have gained the practical skills and knowledge to enable you to take a practical assessment. The assessment will be on the day following the completion of training

1. General Health & Safety at Work HASWA (1974).
2. Daily maintenance requirements on tractors.
3. Identification and use of tractor controls
4. Pre-checks before starting a tractor
5. Starting and stopping procedures
6. Tractor Operation including:
- Use of gears
- Manoeuvring
- Reversing
- Hitching trailers
7. Safety implications of operating tractors on banks
8. Use of a fore end loader
9. Attaching a three point mounted implement
