About this course
A minimum of 3 passes at Standard Grade (or equivalent) at band 3 or above, including English. In some cases, a combination of modules and standard grades may be accepted. Early application is advised.

KEY FEATURES
This course is designed to meet the needs of learners who wish to pursue a career in the business side of the Fashion Industry or to continue study progression to higher level courses. Continuous assessment is used throughout the course. Learners will attend a major local fashion event and experience the fashion opportunaites avaliable in Glasgow, the UK?s largest and most successful shopping location outside the West End of London. Learners will also implement their own themed fashion show to be asessed towards the end of the session ultilsing all the theory, information and skills learnt on this competitive courses.
COURSE CONTENT
A selection of core units includes:
Introduction to Fashion; Fashion Design; Fashion Merchandising; Media studies- Fashion Higher Buying; Textiles; Understanding the Retail and Distributive Industries; Buying; Marketing.
A selection of optional units includes:
Jewellery Design-Non Precious Metals; Fabric Crafts-Fabric painting; Digital Media-Still Images Editing.

PROGRESSION
