Our BSc (Hon) Nurse Practitioner course will prepare you to admit patients with undifferentiated diagnoses, or existing diagnosis, to the health care system by diagnosing/evaluating, initiating, managing treatment and arranging referral as appropriate This degree develops the knowledge and skills of a nurse practitioner through theoretical teaching which underpins critical examination. The course has been designed to allow the integration of an in depth knowledge of consultation theory and pathophysiology in Year 1, with the practical skills required for autonomous practice being acquired in Year 2. The Nurse Practitioner course has been developed alongside the RCN Domains and Competencies for Advanced Nurse Practitioners (2010).

Entry Requirements 2017/18 Qualified and registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience. Working in a healthcare setting where there is opportunity for clinical exposure and a wide range of clinical consultations.
