About this course
The Level 2 Diploma in Care replaced the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England. The course is suitable for learners working in a wide range of roles in a health and social care setting. This is a competence based qualification which requires learners to be in paid or voluntary work. The qualification also forms the competence component of the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care.
Vocational Learning encourages candidates to submit naturally occurring evidence from their workplace to demonstrate competency against the practical requirements of the course. You are usually expected to complete this course within a year. The course has a 319-396 guided learning hours requirement.
Candidates are required to achieve at least 46 credits to be awarded the Level 2 Diploma in Care. 24 of the credits will be achieved by completing the following 9 units. You will be expected to achieve the remaining 22 credits from the optional units.
