Course Aims:
To enable the candidate to develop and demonstrate occupational competence to National Standards
Course Content:
There are a number of core units in which the candidate must prove competence. Optional units also form part of this course and the candidate will be directed as to the appropriate optional units to be undertaken.

Duration:
To complete this qualification, learners are expected to attend college for 6-8 weeks for 3 hours per week. This will include 2 hours underpinning knowledge and 1 hour of literacy for those who do not have a GCSE or equivalent at Grade 'C' or above.
Learners will then be assessed in the workplace either by a college assessor or a workplace assessor and be encouraged to attend the drop-in on a Friday 1pm-4pm for portfolio building support.
