This qualification will anable students to work on a range or practical and theoretical Beauty Therapy skills and real work activities.

How can I progress?
Students can progress to NVQ Level 3. this course also offers good employment/ promotion prospects.

What will I need to qualify for this course?
Students should have a good general education and school leavers should have a satisfactory record of achievement and attendance level. All potential students will be given an interview. Beauty Therapy at this level requires a degree of personal responsibility for learning and the ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team. Students will be expected to provide a Beauty Therapy Nail kit and salon wear whilst having a good standard of presentation and hygiene. Good communication skills are essential and a minimum of 90% attendance is required.

Course Structure
In order to gain a full NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy Nail Services these units will be studied; *Ensure your own actions reduce the risk to Health & Safety. *Promote additional products and services to the Client. *Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work. *Remove hair using waxing techniques. *Provide manicure treatments. *Provide pedicure treatments. *Nail Art. *Extend, Maintain and Repair Nails. Homework will be regularly set, completed to a deadline in student's own time. A portfolio of evidence will also be produced by students. Students are responsible for arranging clients for assessment purposes.
