How can I progress?
Successful completion of a Level 3 qualification can lead to Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications, which are the highest qualifications in the country.
What will I need to qualify for this course?
In order to qualify for this course students will need; *To have successfully met the criteria for NVQ 2, or have 3 years recent experience in the industry (Proof of experience must be provided). *Applicants coming from Secondary Education must provide evidence of sound attendance and good Record of Achievement. Learners will have to provide their own flowers and related materials, details of the requirements will be made known by the course tutor. Learners are expected to have good links with, and be employed in the floristry industry or be prepared to undertake a period of work placement.
Course Structure
In order to gain a full NVQ 3 in Floristry these units will be studied; *Negotiate and agree terms and conditions for the sale of floristry products and services, *Plan, construct and evaluate floristry designs, *Plan, assemble and evaluate tied floristry designs, *Plan, assemble and evaluate wired floristry designs, *Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security, *Manage yourself (Management Standards), *Maintain the availability of goods for sale to customers (DNTO), *Organise, deliver and maintain reliable customer service (ICS), *Lead the work of teams and individuals to improve customer service, *Offer products/ services over the telephone (e-skills NTO),
