· Course Overview: · This qualification is ideal for any one wishing to take up a career in Barbering. The qualification is highly practical and provides the skills and underpinning knowledge to practice as a barber. The Barbering course is a Level 2 qualification which will provide you with the skill and underpinning knowledge to work as a barber. The course is delivered on a part time basis and on completion candidates can progression onto Level 3 Barbering. The qualification is made up of nine units of which all need to be passed in order to gain the qualification. The course will be predominantly practical where the assessor will observe and assess your skills against the national standards. You will also be taught and assessed on the underpinning knowledge in the form of assignments, mandatory tests and knowledge questions.

Entry Requirements: · Students must possess 4 GCSEs at grades D or above or equivalent. . Applicants without formal qualifications will be interviewed, assessed for dexterity, literacy and numeracy and will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and good communication skills. Applicants must be prepared to obtain work placement for links with industry.
