The course will enable learners to advise and consult with clients and promote retail sales and to communicate effectively with colleagues.

This qualification also provides suitable progression opportunities to Level 3 studies. These include the VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (Combined Hair Types) (QCF). Progression opportunities also exist in the form of specialist VTCT vocationally related qualifications at Levels 2 and 3. This course is also highly recommended as a starting point for those students who are interested in doing Hair & Media Make-up. This qualification will enhance your experience and provide more scope in securing employment within the industry.

You will complete the following:

8 Mandatory units:

Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety
Advise and consult with clients
Style and finish hair
Set and dress hair
Cut hair using basic techniques
Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
Change hair colour
Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
