NVQ In Performing Engineering Operations - Electrical Installation

Those wishing to enter employment in the electrical installation industry

We require you to have four GCSEs at any grade, including Maths, English and Science and to demonstrate a strong interest in electrical installation at interview. Aptitude test, colour blindness test and satisfactory reference.

A one year course covering the basic principles of electrical installation.

Performing Engineering Operations Level 1 Award:

Working safely in an Engineering environment
Work effectively with supervisors and close colleagues
Wiring electrical circuits

Installation practical and technology
Projects and assignments

Electrical installation theory/technology, practical installation competencies. All work carried out in fully equipped site-simulated conditions. Work experience will be encouraged for suitable students. As well as the Electrical Installation certificate, it is possible to gain additional related qualifications including Key Skills.

Course: City & Guilds 2330 Level 2 Electrical Installation - progression is not automatic and is subject to suitable reference from course tutor and numeracy at Level 2

Employment: All areas of electrical installation, including alarms, maintenance, heating/ventilation.
